Anyone a Yourmusic.com member?

I have been using the service for sometime now. I like it $7.00 for a physical CD is not a bad deal. I just got My Flame Burns Blue from Elvis Costello (2 CD set).

Curious to see if anyone else uses it. Opinions?

I am and still enjoy it. I'm running out of stuff but I still find something on occasion. I just picked up the Radiohead 3xCD remasters for the lowest prices I've seen.

never heard of it. i'm assuming by the previous posts that it's one of those CD clubs where you pay money and they send used cd's you don't want??

I use the forums sometimes at rateyourmusic.om

It's a good idea, but the selection is so limited, I wouldn't be able to find much.

It's up to $7? I remember when the service was $5 per album. These days, I've become a digital person, and haven't bought but a hand-ful of actual CDs this year. Blame Amazon.com!

One of the best deals I ever got was the Bob Dylan Dualdisc Box (16 albums) for $4.99 per disc. Some of the Miles Davis boxsets were well worth it too. Unfortunately, there's no Bob Dylan available on that site anymore, and very little Miles Davis.

I was a member for quite a while, but quit because of one of the price changes and the increasingly poor selection.

I actually just joined again this week because I saw a thread in the Hot Deals forum about some decent deals on some CD/DVD albums for the price of one disc. I ordered three of those, plus two Anoushka Shankar Indian music CDs, and currently have Living in Oblivion Vols. 1-5 sitting in my queue because those were the only other things I found I might be interested it. We'll see how long I stick around this time.

I agree with you. I've been a member for years, but I am finding it difficult maintain selections in my queue. Selection is very limited once you've spent any amount of time there. That said, the prices are fantastic and they often add an artist's newer releases to their catalog. I have picked up Ryan Adams, Snow Patrol, Supergrass, Doves, and Keane over the past year or so.

Oh yeah, those Radiohead deluxe editions are a pretty good incentive to get in right now as well.

I've joined and cancelled a couple times to get specific disks. Tough to beat the price if they have something you're looking for, but it definitely suffers from the legacy BMG problem of selection.

The Dylan and Miles Davis boxes were the reason I joined.
