So I have now come into $200 in Amazon GCs. Do I do the responsible thing and apply it to my Mono boxset? Or do I order the stereo one as well?

Just curious:
What is every one's favorite album? As much as I love Abbey Road, these days I'm leaning more towards Revolver. I don't love every track on it, but 10-11 of the 14 tracks are classics. That's pretty impressive.

So hard to choose. It's really a toss-up between A Hard Day's Night, Help, Rubber Soul, Revolver, The White Album, and Abbey Road.

1. Sgt Pepper
2. Revolver/Rubber Soul (I think of these two as a double album)
3. Abbey Road
4. Past Masters (Not an official album, but a lot of good quality singles that never were on Beatles albums).
What always has amazed me was how fast the Beatles turned out albums. Even the later works were around a year apart from each other.

Just received my Box of Vision. It's really gorgeous. It's really hefty, bigger than most coffee table books. It comes with a whole page of instructions on how everything fits inside (since it's designed to hold the boxes as well as the discs). Mine is number 142. I'll definitely be picking up the additional pages for the mono discs.

I find myself listening to Revolver, Rubber Soul, and Abbey Road the most.
I've been a fan since 1978, and oddly enough, I grew up listening to the (UK) versions of Revolver and Rubber Soul, not the American versions.

I loved the fact that it's not a total polished, "full of hits" recording. The band was almost publicly announcing the fracturing that was happening within the band. The unevenness of the album showed that they were just a band and not a BAND. For whatever reason, I really liked that.

I usually listen to Revolution 9 until the "Riiiiiide, riiiiide" portion. I also always skip the last track.

In its way, though, The White Album is as much about the experience as it is about the individual songs, the same way that Exile On Main St is. Sign O' The Times is the only other freewheeling kaleidoscopic double album I can think of that is as stunning in its variety of musical styles.
