No need to wait. He said that it will be able to be added to the book. If you want a numbered first printing, I would order it within this week.

Re: Beatles Remasters Officially Coming 09-09-09

How did you get it for $64?

I wonder if they will drop the price for the non-first printing/no numbered later printings? I don't care if mine are numbered or what-not. The box looks nice but I just don't know if it is worth 100 bucks for this.

Any mention of places for the cd singles for Anthology 1&2 or the "Fly on the Wall" disc from Let It Be Naked?

I'm hoping this will eventually be sold at Barnes & Noble. With membership discounts and coupons, it might become more affordable.

When he introduced it in March, he had a special price that lasted until sometime in May. With shipping ($12) it came to $76. I agree about the $100, but I will let you know what I think about it once I receive it. I believe he mentioned that the $89 (pre shipping) is going to be the standard price from here on out. You can save $8 until 9/1 though.

There are individual spaces for each cd of the anthologies, Live at the BBC Red & Blue. Naked and Love do not have separate spaces, but I guess that you could put one disc in the slot that holds the artwork (along with the artwork), and then the other disc in the "disc" slot.

I forgot to mention earlier that the additional storage for the capitol and mono albums will not be free. No set price mentioned yet, but we will see.

Finally seeing some pictures of actual discs today. Please, Please Me uses the original gold Parlophone label! MMT uses the orignal Capital label. Good stuff!

Not sure if that will happen. He hasn't mentioned it. Others have asked if just the book of artwork will become available. He has not responded to that question.

Are the mono recordings going to be available individually (as well as in the box set)? I want to pick them up but i can't swing a huge box set now. I can however buy the albums slowly here and there.... I just really want the mono recordings.

From what I have read, there are no plans to release the monos individually at this time.

That really sucks if that is the case.

Supposedly, the mono boxes are only going to be printed once. Once the initial shipment is sold out, that is it. I don't believe that will be the case, but that is the rumor.

The author also has some comparison clips between mono and stereo which are helpful.
man those stereo mixes still annoy the hell out of me. Although if its anything like the Love set, the stereo seperation won't be nearly as dramatic. if i can score enough cash together, i will def buy the mono set

I have no problem with the box set being a limited run collector's edition sort of thing. It is just really disappointing if i can't buy the individual albums in the mono mix even fully understanding it would be cheaper to buy them at once in the box set.

Those later albums are so stereo driven with wild spacial sound distribution; I couldn't imagine listening to something like Magical Mystery Tour in mono. It seems silly not to individually release mono versions of the early albums so you could have every album as it was originally released, but it looks like that will require two box set purchases.

Yeah, songs like Yesterday are so teeny bopper.

Back to what is really important, are we gonna see another deal on the mono set? I've got to believe someone is going to bite with a decent price.

$229 seems to be the common price point on the mono box right now. Even Best Buy is matching Amazon's price right now. I don't expect it to go any lower now that we're at just under 4 weeks till release.

Is there a vinyl version announced? Otherwise I'm not sure what your point is.

I'm getting VERY excited for these boxsets to arrive on my doorstep. I should take the day off from work on the 9th...especially if they show up a day early.

If they haven't adjusted the price yet, contact Amazon and let them know.

Re: Beatles Remasters Officially Coming 09-09-09

If you ordered via 1-click and CC they should lower your price within 24 hours automatically. Otherwise, you have to let them know.

At QVC.com they have some videos for the stereo boxed set and early and later individual single discs which give you a better look at some of the booklets, packaging and discs.
