I'm going to finish it tonight. I'm going to put one of the songs from last night's Idol on there too (hopefully they have them available by the time I get home tonight - Why does Seacrest lie and say they will be available today when they aren't?)

I have a jump drive with about 250 tunes on it for my kids(2 & 4) in the car. Mostly animated Disney stuff, Muppets, Charlie Brown, SchoolHouse Rock type stuff.

However I do recommend tossing some Elvis on there. Use the tunes that are in Lilo & Stitch to get things started. It's a good way to bridge the gap since she might recognize them.

Some other more 'adult' tunes from kids programming I tossed on there are "Send Me On My Way" by Rusted Root which is definitely upbeat and 'dancey'(from Ice Age), Springsteen's "Chicken Lips & Lizard Hips" (just a silly tune), Cake doing "Mahna Mahna" (Muppet Show). There were a few decent tunes in Happy Feet ranging from the Beach Boys to Stevie Wonder that might fit the bill.

Of course you can't go wrong with Julie Andrews and Marry Poppins & Sound of Music tunes. Of course those are very 'sugary' and not for everyone.

Don't take it personal or anything Bus. It isn't like I said "How can I insult Bus today?"

I understand what you are saying, and I liked your suggestions, but I know my niece, and she specifically asked for a CD of "sugar" music. She lives on Disney shows, and Beatles and Vivaldi just don't fit the bill, plus I wanted to keep it all female. I strayed from the format a bit with a couple of these songs anyway. I'll make her more robust CDs in the future.

For now I was basically fulfilling an order - and I spent all my iTunes credit.

My kids (5 & 7) listen to whatever it is that I play - Bad Religion, Metallica, Megadeth, etc.

They sing along to it all of the time

I would have gone with The Go-Go's version of Our Lips are Sealed. :)
