Dennis Wilson - Pacific Ocean Blue (2008 re-issue)

Anyone got this? I consider myself a knowledgeable Beach Boys fan, but I had no idea that Dennis even recorded anything until I saw this on Amazon.

Anyways, grabbed it and have been playing it non-stop for almost two weeks. Haven't made it all the way through disc two yet (it is good stuff, but I am hooked on the original album), but wow I had been missing out.

Yesterday I gave a copy to my brother and he went crazy for it too. Who knew right?

So for those who do have it or have heard it, what are your opinions?

honestly? the hype wasn't really worth the release. i can understand how some might enjoy it, but to me it's just a collection of sub-par jams. was an interesting listen though.

Yes this is another one of those albums whose legend exceeds it's reality

Just bought me a copy also. Kinda reminds me of Pet Sounds but a bit bluesier this time.

I can honestly say I am surprised by what I am reading. But that is how things go.

I dig it, that is really all I can say.
