AmieStreet.com is running a 25% off sale today, for anyone who's into indie stuff. I just picked up a bunch of Guided by Voices albums for under $4 each, and if you're quick you could get a good deal on the new Sonic Youth album. (They have a weird pricing structure where all tracks start off free, then they increase in price up to 99 cents as more people buy them. That means that the major labels stay away, but some of the big indies like Matador and 4AD have pretty large chunks of their catalog there.)

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I just signed up for Lala.com. It sounds like a neat website. I just listened to "Zero" from the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Wow... what an awesome song with a good dance sound. I heard this band before and wasn't sure they were for me but it sounds like they are going in a neat new direction with their latest album.

I'm also planning on sampling the Dirty Projectors and Animal Collective albums. I've never heard anything from them before.

Dammit! They just raised the pricing on all three of those albums to $7.50 each. I was going to buy them too. They sound great. Especially the Animal Collective album.

GenPion, Yeah Yeah Yeahs are definitely an awesome band. Karen O has such an infectious voice!

Check out their album "Show Your Bones".
