MTV launches music video website

http://www.mtvmusic.com

20,000+ music videos, "Unplugged" and "Storytellers" performances. More added daily.

Now suffer my onslaught of awesome 90s music.

(full disclosure, i work for the company but have nothing to do with the music side or this website. just read about it on gawker and thought it was cool and worth mentioning)

I searched for Lauren Conrad and Puck and got 0 results, so it looks promising.

For me, they don't get much better than this:

<embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtvmusic.com:164679" width="320" height="271" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashVars="dist=http://www.mtvmusic.com" allowFullScreen="true" AllowScriptAccess="never"></embed>

Great song, cool visuals, Kim Basinger at her best and Tom gets the top hat out. What else could you ask for?

I thought of that zinger as soon as I saw the topic and was going to post it. It's a shame that MTV's devolved so much that everyone can think of the same easy punchline.

I look forward to checking this out after work (video sites are blocked here).

They don't carry every music video.
I wanted to see 1984's ALAN PARSON PROJECT'S "Don't Answer me" and it's not listed.

Missed the part where he said "adding more daily" eh?

You can always watch "Don't Answer Me" on YouTube.

I've spent many an hour watching old music videos on YouTube. This MTV venture looks good so far and the quality is decent.

I don't know what the big deal is. I've been watching all these videos on YouTube these past few years.

Have you not noticed the significant quality difference between MtvM and YouTube?

I was going to post it earlier. I spent about 40 minutes at work this afternoon watching videos. I probably searched for a dozen and the only one it couldn't find was Cake's "the Distance," but I'm not even sure if there was a video for it.

Depends on who posted the video on YouTube. But the few videos I watched on MTV.com were subpar in quality.
