The Killers - Day & Age (11/25/08)

1. "Losing Touch"
2. "Human"
3. "Spaceman"
4. "Joy Ride"
5. "A Dustland Fairytale"
6. "This Is Your Life"
7. "I Can't Stay"
8. "Neon Tiger"
9. "The World We Live In"
10. "Goodnight, Travel Well"

I loved Sam's Town as much as their first album, so I'm definitely looking forward to this. Human is the first single.

Hell yes. I too really liked Sams Town, but if "Human" and "Spaceman" are any indication this is gonna be a return to dance rock which is a kick ass move in my book. Probably my most anticipated album of the fall.

I might go see them this week, if I can get a ticket for face value.

Really looking forward to this one. Loved the other records... tired to get tix to see them next month but they sold out in like 20 seconds and ticketmaster fucked me by 'blocking' my account right at the moment of onsale because of 'too many refreshes'... weak.

Really looking forward to this. I really loved Sam's Town, preferred it over Hot Fuzz even. "Human" and "Spaceman" are great tracks so I'm hoping they have another winner here.

I'm gonna assume you meant Hot Fuss and not the Simon Pegg/Edgar Wright flick Hot Fuzz, because that's like comparing apples to oranges

SF Warfield show postponed to December 12, 2008
The Killers have been forced to cancel their show this evening at San Francisco's Warfield due to illness.

I only liked one or two songs off Sam's Town. I like the new track Human.

Ha, oops. Yeah, I meant Hot Fuss. For the record, I did prefer Sam's Town to Hot Fuzz, but Shaun of the Dead beats them both.

I love Hot Fuss and Sam's Town equally, and even loved Sawdust (their b-sides and oddities album) almost as much, so they can do no wrong right now. My most anticipated fall 2008 album

Spaceman single is out now. Also, a glowing early album review:

I went to go youtube what Spaceman sounds like. Sounds fantastic as well. After my disappointment with Sam's Town, I think i'll be buying the CD now.

Just listened to this 3 times through (got an early copy).

It's fantastic.

I'd rank their albums (for frame of reference, so you can see how I rank their other stuff):

Hot Fuss (A+)
Day and Age (A-)
Sam's Town(B+)
Sawdust (B)

If you enjoyed Hot Fuss but weren't thrilled about Sam's Town, I think you will like this record.

It has some great tracks, and some very interesting tracks. There's some very 80s sounding stuff here. 'Joy Ride' makes me think of early Duran Duran with the sax and funky guitar licks. 'The World We Live In' reminds me of Hall & Oates.

The first song has a definite Huey Lewis sound.

This album is fantastic.

Great album with quirky world beats in a few songs. This is definitely better than Sam's Town. Did Stuart Price do the whole album? If he did it would be the second time he got an artist's whole album right (first being Juliet's Random Order) after the mess that was Madonna's and Seal's albums.

Wicked bummed, I bought this on vinyl because I could get it with the mp3 tracks, but of course the tracks aren't up until the day the CD comes out!!! And as of now, I don't have a working turntable! Oh well, I can wait a couple days.

This is a great LP! I'm in the minority and like Sam's Town the best, but this is a great followup.

I like this one too so far, but agree that Sam's Town was my favourite easily.
