Listening to Blaze Bayley's third solo album "Blood & Belief" from 2004. (Got it in the mail last week, but didn't get around to listening to it until today).

Somewhat less "maidenish" than his previous two solo albums, but nevertheless still quite well written.

This was another early Andy Sneap production. At the time, Sneap was producing/engineering/mixing albums from Arch Enemy (Wages of Sin, Anthems of Rebellion, Doomsday Machine), Kreator (Violent Revolution, Live Kreation, Enemy of God), Exodus (Tempo of the Damned), Nevermore (Dead Heart in a Dead World, This Godless Endeavor, The Year of the Voyager). This was years before he was producing albums by Accept, Judas Priest, Saxon, Megadeth, Testament, Cradle of Filth (Thornography, Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder), etc ...

It appears Blaze owns all his solo albums. His first four solo albums (three studio, one live) were originally released on Steamhammer/SPV back in 2000-2004.

This third solo album cd copy I got, has a 2021 date on the back cover and was released by "Blaze Bayley Recordings" which is his own label.

I like me some blackened death metal, I'll check it out. And hey, they're Canadian too.
