I downloaded "Piss". It would've been better if "Use My Third Arm" didn't exist. As it is, not a terrible track, and it's always good to hear another Dime solo. Not buying that album, though. I'm getting tired of being sold albums I already own.

Hooray for new Testament. Formation was a badass return to form.

I might hit up that Agalloch show at Red 7. Probably depends on the opening acts.

Wow! I regret missing Agalloch last year, but I was NOT hitting up Austin on St Paddys Day. I am SO gonna be there!

Now why are they touring? Is a new CD coming out?

They finished recording their new EP back in March, I haven't read any news on a release date.

Makes sense to take advantage of the popularity of Thrash right now. So many kids eating up the Thrash Revival bands, putting 3 bands that most Thrash Metal fans like is easy dough.

Also comparing the dates from 2011 to now, it looks like these dates cover many secondary markets and places not hit on the 2011 tour.

I love Death Angel, so I wouldn't mind seeing them again. Especially if it's with Anthrax and Testament.

I saw this tour twice. The first was in Philadelphia, then I went to Reading because it was so good. However, I happened to catch it when Bello and Benante weren't there, so it didn't have the same magic. Plus there were a shitload of sound issues. Actually, I wasn't sure if it was a timing issue or a lack of energy from the crowd, but Testament didn't play their three encores, including DNR. That was a big disappointment.

At least Testament should be playing some (hopefully killer) new material since this leg is after their album drops.

I'll definitely be looking forward to that too.

I also didn't post them, but a good chunk of this tour is overseas as well.

Interesting news about Devin Townsend. I wonder if he will be doing a retrospective with Strapping Young Lad material.

My guess would be he'll have set full of his solo stuff (Devin Townsend Band/Project). Devin Townsend project just put a record last year.

Either way, I'm sure he'll mix in some Strapping Young Lad material. It usually shows up in his sets.

Well, when I saw him back in October, he stuck to all DTP material, which was awesome. However, he was toying with the idea of a retrospective performance which would include SYL songs. My guess is this won't be that tour, but a continuation.

Interesting, though wouldn't that kind of tour be reserved for a (sole) headlining spot?

I know Devin is co-headlining this upcoming tour.

Jennifer, aka Miss Box of Junk from That Metal Show, just posted this pic of herself. Definitely the highlight of that show.

Um....what?

No it doesn't. At all. The only time he's played SYL in the past few years was an acoustic improved version at one of his acoustic gigs last year.
