Liz Phair performing songs from 'exile in guyville' live, worth the extra $$?

This is one of my fave albums of all time, to just chill out to (and Phair at her creative peak). anyways, she's doing a small club tour, and one of the dates is at the 9:30 club. tickets are already sold out, but i can get them from stubhub for 57.90 plus shipping. Knowing how she usually doesn't tour alot and rarely plays songs from this album now, i figured it be worth the extra dough right?

I've seen her twice and had a great time. Although I've never had to pay that much to see her. I say do it. You only live once.

I'd go. I've never seen her live but my sister says she puts on an awesome show (this was before the two most recent crappy albums). Besides, I remember someone here saying she came on to him after a show, so who knows, you might get lucky as well.

I saw this show in Chicago in June. Go!! She plays the entire album in order from start to finish plus an encore.

Actually, Liz tours quite a bit. But she won't do a show like this again (probably). She's fantastic live.

Hell I'd tell you to go just because it's the 9:30 Club. I love the 9:30, been to 200+ shows there and she should sound fantastic

I would go. I've only seen her once a few years ago and it was worth it even with the crappy new songs.

I certainly don't think of "Exile In Guyville" as a "chill-out" album.

compared to the shit listen to, this is easy listening. Also it would be amusing if a few soccer moms went, because of the newer stuff, and got to hear 'flower' live. theyd prob have a heart attack.

Didn't her last crap album have a song about using semen as skin cream? That should have scared them off.

well, i can still get tickets to the show in philly, and which is a hell of alot cheaper then trying to get ebay auctions. it'll prob be alittle over 35 after charges if i go to a local record store and get tickets. Surprised its not sold out there, As according to their wikipedia site, it can only hold 810 people, and the 9:30 club show sold out in a feew days.

Happy 30th, Guyville! Still one of my favorite albums ever.

Liz announces a Guyville 30th Anniversary Tour. Just grabbed some tickets in Center Orchestra at the former Hard Rock Joint theater for the reasonable and extremely appropriate price of $69 each.

She will be playing Guyville in its entirety and some “other favorites”.

I saw Liz Phair open for the Flaming Lips in 2001, she clearly wanted to be somewhere else. My brother and I stood next to the mother of the young guy she had playing guitar for her. It was the first time the old lady had seen Liz Phair and she was a bit shocked at the lyrics to say the least.
