just heard some band Rogue Wave's version of Maps (Yeah Yeah Yeahs). And I love it. However, any band could do this song and it sound great...

Speaking of Youtube videos and a little off topic... but I was listening to a podcast that had OK Go's singer on it. He was saying that when you go to youtube and watch a video the record company gets a small payment, but when you imbed videos (like above) the record company's do not get paid for some reason. That is why some videos don't let you imbed into blogs, forums, etc - because the record companies have turned that feature off so that they can make a little more money from people watching them directly at youtube.

I agree that Buckley does a good version, but Leonard Cohen has said that this is the best version of 'Halleloujah' and I'd have to agree

Thank you SO much for this! I wish I had posted my cover song a week or two earlier so I would have found this, eventually finding out she was playing in Pittsburgh in June and attended.

I got her 2 non-album tracks off of iTunes and just purchased all 4 of her discs. I hope to have them by the end of this week. Her youtube videos are great! Can't get enough of her music.

Buckley's version is fantastic. Bon Jovi's COULD be as good(particularly with Richie in the background), but I'm just not keen on some of his phrasing/enunciation. (And he almost always drops that in somewhere when he sings live.)

For my money, this one is pretty darned good too. (I might be partial to it as well because it's "Steelheart", but I still think it holds up on its own too.)
