I thought this might be a good thread. Just talk about what songs or artists you currently can't get enough of. Doesn't matter if it's a new artist, a flavor-of-the-week, a rediscovery, whatever, just talk about it.
For me, I've been listening to a lot of Easau Mwamwaya, a Malawian singer who's been dubbed "the African Phil Collins" and sings over weird mixes of disco, African music, Lil' John southern beats, M.I.A. tracks, and 80s synth.
You can listen to him here.
So... you?

Songs:
Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf Version) by The Pixies
First heard it during a viewing of Pump Up the Volume, fell in love with this song after hearing it in Southland Tales. I've been playing the shit out of this while writing my new screenplay because I'm trying to capture the mood of the song for my story. You can hear a sample HERE.
Sadie by Alkaline Trio
I just love this song. The mood, the melody, the lyrics -- it hits on all points for me. IMO, the best version can be found on the recently released Remains album. Even more interesting when you realize the song is about Susan Atkins. This puts a whole new spin on the song that makes it even darker.

One Eyed Doll -- While I enjoy her CD's, the live show is addicting. I've been seeing them quite a bit around the local area lately just because of how much fun she is.
Paul Thorn -- I'm a big fan of Americana music, especially with a bluesy sound. I've been listening to this a lot lately.

Oh yeah and I've been on a Joshua Radin kick lately.

A friend introduced me to Lorraine's 'When I Return To The World' last week and I think it's one of the greatest things I've heard all year. EPIC.

I still can't stop listening to The Whip's "X-Marks Destination" - my early pick for album of 2008. New single 'Blackout' is out in July but there's no video yet - here's last year's 'Sister Siam' and 'Divebomb' instead:

There's a new Pop Levi album and single out soon - 'Dita Dimone' is the single and it's the most electrotastic thing he's done yet:

Gaslight Anthem - http://www.myspace.com/thegaslightanthem
They currently have one full length called "Sink Or Swim" and a 4 song E.P. "Señor and the Queen". I pretty much love every song they've released. "Blue Jeans and White T-Shirts" is probably my favorite song of theirs at the moment. I've also seen them live twice and they were incredible.

I am obsessed with the new Current 93 EP - Birth Canal Blues.

I've had this album for about a year, based on (IIRC) wendersfan's reco, but I've been playing the hell out of "Dot Dash" over the past few days:

Cloud Cult. They've been rocking my socks off for 6+ months now, and just as I slip away, I get pulled back in.

Mods: I hope this is OK as this is a very widespread "promotional" type of song that has been on the internet w/o any challenge from Mr. Mwamwaya or his label.

The new album is done and it has collaborations with Vampire Weekend.
This might be my most awaited album of the year.
