I did have one person ask me when they heard the title of the song if they had covered Coldplay though....however no one has asked me yet if they covered Oasis (Supersonic) or The Doors (The End) thankfully....

I'm not feeling Speed of Sound...probably my least favorite track on the album...either that or Force of Nature (which I'll give a fair shake at Rival's recommendation).

I rocked the hell outta Amongst The Waves on the ride to work this morning. In my current Top 3 from the new album.
Just started listening to Seattle 2 now...

Are the concert downloads included in all the CD's or just the ones at Target?

First couple listens, I wasn't quite sure how I felt about the the album - but having listened to it in the car every day for the past week, I'm now loving this album. Another one that's easily making my this year's "Best Of" list.
I opted for the "Indie Store" version, which comes in the hardbound book, over the Target digipack style. For one, it looks better sitting on the shelf with the other PJ and related CD's, (I just didn't like the odd size of the Target version), and for two, I could care less about the free concert downloads. I already have a half dozen live PJ discs that I barely listen to as is, so that wasn't an incentive to me. Also, I was able to get it just a little cheaper at the local indie store, too.

Same here... haven't seen the Target version yet. Yeah, figured I have all the others, might as well buy this one to go with them. It is nice packaging...

Pearl Jam Scores First No. 1 On Billboard 200 In 13 Years
Veteran Seattle band Pearl Jam bows atop the Billboard 200 chart this week with its ninth studio album, "Backspacer," shifting 189,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
It's the group's fourth chart-topper and first since 1996, when "No Code" landed in the penthouse with 367,000. Pearl Jam's last studio album, its 2006 self-titled J Records effort, debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 279,000.
"Backspacer" is Pearl Jam's 30th charting album on the Billboard 200. That sum includes nine studio albums, a greatest hits package, a B-sides set and 19 live albums. Between "No Code" and "Backspacer," the band placed four other sets within the top 10.

You can find a ton of them here - the Jerry Cantrell one with them playing Alive is great too:

Finally listened to it this week, solid album. My favorites are "Gonna See My Friend", "Got Some", "The Fixer"... and "Just Breathe' is just a beautiful song.
The End is the only one I didn't like.

For those who are interested, but didn't see it in the video game forum, Target has dropped the price of their LE version in the DVD case that includes a download code for the entire album in Rock Band DLC. It was $29.99 but now has dropped to $19.99. Since the DLC album alone is $18, this is a great deal. You can order it online and check local store availability here.
BTW: Which concert did everyone pick? I went with East Rutherford, 2006 and NYC 2008.

Along with Bugs, they also played Hold On and Sweet Lew for the first times ever, brought back Push Me Pull Me from an 11 year absence, and dusted off Ghost and Rival after they both had been MIA for over six years....
I'm really surprised Out Of My Mind was played, since it was only ever done twice previously WAY WAY back in 1994, and only seemed like a improv-type jam to me, though it did get that b-side release on Not For You (but wasn't put on Lost Dogs)....
Can't wait to listen to the official bootlegs, I'm currently enjoying some audience sources in the meantime....

FYI for those of you who play guitar, Ultimate-Guitar.com has a bunch of tabs / chords for the new record.
