it must kill Kanye to only be fourth bill
|
Not a bad lineup. I love the Weakerthans.
|
Nice. Any dates yet?
|
whatever ... this year's lineup doesn't excite me in the slightest.
|
Damn... Radio, Rage, Kanye, NIN and Raconteurs would be enough to get me to do a road trip down to Chicago...but I've already got tickets to see Jack Johnson on August 3rd, so I guess I'm missing out! Dang!

Aug 1 - 3 are the dates. |
Other than Radiohead, none of the big names do anything for me. However, there are some killer smaller bands I'd have a good time checking out. I take it this is only Chicago again, yeah? (dammit)
edit... yeah, only Chicago. I hate that. Really. I get that Perry needs to make money and it's working in Chicago, but I'd love to spend a weekend seeing the festival in Atlanta. Especially since Music Midtown went away. |
Holy shit, I had no intentions of ever going to another Lolla, but honestly, I am blown away by how amazing this line-up is.
Wilco Radiohead Black Keys The National Right there, probably 4 of my 5 favorite bands. Then throw in. . . The Raconteurs Broken Social Scene Flogging Molly Okkervil River The Weakerthans Brand New (Who are phenomenal live!) Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks Mates of State The Kills (F'n love them, never seen them live before) Can't wait. |

I really want to go to this but tix are freakin' expensive...need to get someone to go with me.
|
Holy shit. What a lineup. I see 10 or so bands that I'd kill to see AT ALL, let alone all together.
= J |
If you go to this concert and dont see Gogol Bordello you are wasting your money. I can almost gurantee they will put on the best show out of all those bands. Love to see Radiohead and Rage and many more of the others, but i live no where near Chicago
|
How come Houston never gets good concerts?! It seems all the good bands skip this city, and if they do come they don't come back for years.
|
Cause it's Houston?
If you want to see good live music, I think you have to move to Austin. |
Houston gets pretty much every tour that goes on the road. How long have you lived here?

Awesome awesome lineup. I've got my tickets and I'm stoked to go.

|
Bar none the best festival lineup I've seen this year.
My short list: Radiohead (of course) Okkervil River MGMT Girl Talk The National Battles Black Lips Rogue Wave The Go! Team |
once again, as i say whenever i see them on a bill, if you go and dont see Gogol Bordello you wasted your money. Wish i lived near Chicago, half the bill i would love to see.

Aside from NIN there really isn't anyone I'm dying to see. And the inclusion of Kanye is enough to keep me far, far away.

On the third day of Bonnaroo, "Fuck Kanye" chants were common before shows, many people were sporting homemade "Fuck Kanye" t-shirts, a row of porta potties sported enormous "Fuck Kanye" graffiti from top to bottom, and a number of artists commented on his ridiculous behavior from the stage. Robert Randolph went so far as to lead a crowd of thousands in a "Kanye Sucks" chant. |
