Goldfrapp - Seventh Tree - 2/26/08
Tracklisting Clowns Little Bird Happiness Road To Somewhere Eat Yourself Some People A&E Cologne Cerrone Houdini Caravan Girl Monster Love From Mute Records: 25th February (UK) / 26th (US) 2008. 'Seventh Tree' is written and produced by Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory and was recorded at their own studio deep in the English countryside. 'Seventh Tree' follows up the critically acclaimed 'Supernature' album, released in 2005. Supernature went platinum in the UK and went on to sell over a million copies worldwide. From the captivating electronic balladry of Mercury nominated debut 'Felt Mountain' and its dancefloor-burlesque follow-up, 'Black Cherry', Goldfrapp have consistently surprised and delighted with each new album, adeptly bodyswerving both stereotypes and imitators alike. For a limited time, entire album is available for preview on their MySpace page. |
Happiness is the only track I love off this project. I guess I'm more into electronic/dancy Goldfrapp since I loved Black Cherry and Supernature

This actually leaked around 3-4 months ago so I had a while to digest it. Initially I hated it since it was a major departure from the rest of the stuff they've done. The up-tempos are really good as well as A&E. The video is nice as well. I wonder what their sales figures will be considering the huge time frame from the leak and their change in direction. Have any of you heard her Live Lounge rendition of Grace's "Not Over Yet"? |
Such a great chill CD. Been listening to it nonstop.
