I always liked that one but think it kinda falls apart after the solo. I'll vote for Trampled Underfoot .

Is this best song or favorite song (or both)?

I think "Kashmir" is their best song (and I voted for that)

But my favorite of their songs is "Misty Mountain Hop"

Misty Mountain Hop is my favorite. Stairway is just a lead-in to it.

Since I've Been Loving You.

But Kashmir and Ten Years Gone are pretty close to the top as well...

Another vote for When The Levee Breaks. I'm not a HUGE Zep fan, but whenever I hear this song I rock out like an air guitaring fool.

Was In My Time of Dying done in one take? At the very end its "in my time of... (someone coughs in the background) cough" then page does a little 2 note improv, always wondered about that.

"Hot Dog" Yeeeehaw!! lol, actually I can't pick a fave, but it's definitely not one of their long, slow bluesy tunes.

"How Many More Times" from LZ1. The entire album is great, but the ending song is a masterpiece!

I don't know about one take but the track is not overdubbed. It is essentially "live" in the studio. Since I've Been Loving You off of III is also live in the studio with no overdubbing.

That's my favorite as well. Fool in the Rain is another one I love.

From that list, I'd pick Kashmir and Whole Lotta Love. Never understood that 70's cultish obsession with Stairway; it's a good song but to me it seems overlong, too filled with obscure mythical references and way, way overplayed.

everybody knows stairway to heaven is the best. i guess since it gets so much airplay it's not "cool" to admit it.
