How many of you use Last.fm? (Share your profile)

Going off the similar taste in music that Rocketdog2000 and I have apparently, I figured I'd ask how many of us here have a profile on Last.fm? We should share 'em, maybe it'll lead to some interesting musical discoveries.

Here's mine:

http://www.last.fm/user/prp2/

Anyone can add me on there if they'd like, never know what you'll find.

We had a Last.FM thread a while back--hasn't been posted to in almost a year, though:

Come one, come all: last.fm (formerly AudioScrobbler) DVD Talk group

There's even a DVD Talk group:

http://www.last.fm/group/DVD+Talk

And here's my thing:

http://www.last.fm/user/mwb1138/

(Yep, I listen to a lot of Jeff Tweedy stuff.)

Yep, I'm the founder of the DVD Talk group and poster of the originial thread. I've been meaning to bump it to increase awareness, but keep on forgetting.

Anyway, here's mine: http://www.last.fm/user/jmblya/

I'm pretty anal when it comes to transferring EVERYTHING that I listen to on my computer and iPod to last.fm. It's very pathetic, I know, but if I accidentally listen to something on my laptop before I've synced my iPod, I feel terrible. I'm so lame.

BTW, I just got an iPod Classic a week ago and sending info to last.fm via audiopod seems so much quicker now. I don't know if it's the new iPod or if last.fm got new servers, but I haven't had an error yet (whereas I used to get them several times a week).

There is some downtime now in updating my charts since most of my listening is on my Zune which I need to transfer over every night.

Awesome, thanks. Regarding the existence of a Last.fm DVDTalk group, [Wayne Campbell]I was not aware of that[/Wayne Campbell] but have since joined it.

Also my apologies if this thread sort of stole your thunder, don't want to step on any toes.

No problem at all. As long as word gets out about the group, it makes no difference to me who the messenger is. Like I said, I kept on forgetting to bump the thread.

When on an Artist page click on the Pics tab and you will see an Upload photo button at the top center of the page.

Possibly. I am also a paying subscriber to the service, that might have something to do with it.

Here is what I am seeing:

I added everyone if you get a request from Brennok

mine is http://www.last.fm/user/brennok

I mainly listen to podcasts these days so mine isn't that accurate. The other problem I found with the Ipod if you don't let a song play the last second it doesn't count as a playcount so it doesn't show up.

So...I was going to sign up for this, only to find out that I already was.

(I honestly don't remember doing it two years ago ..)

From there, I downloaded iSprogger (since I don't listen to music on my computer - only on my iPod), but I keep getting this error message

Unable to communicate with iTunes. If this is persistent, iTunes is not installed properly and the iTunes installer must be run again. No playlists or music will be affected. Please try again.
I've tried repairing the Install, but it still doesn't work.

Of course, I was at this for almost three hours tonight.

Rogue: I believe Last.fm synchs with iTunes automatically. You shouldn't need iSprogger if you use iTunes with your iPod.

Even if you don't use iTunes to play the songs?

From what I was reading (and the two songs that it did pick up last night) it only synched with iTunes and not the iPod itself..

Question:

Since I manually manage my music on my iPod (300GB MP3 collection), it will not scrobble my iPod.

Is there a way to manually enter those songs? I can't figure out how to do it.

Thanks!
