I was thinking around $6 or $7 myself. I think that's more than fair for a download when you can usually pick up a cd during its first week of availability for around $10.

Radiohead is my favorite band ever so this news is quite awesome! But as someone who still buys CDs it sucks that it won't be available traditionally in stores until 2008.

But this Boxset looks pretty interesting, even though i couldn't care less for the vinyls.

The fact that i'll probably have the album on my iPod next week while an actual album won't be out for awhile makes it a little wierd and not really official.

And i REALLY hope that when they release the actual album that it's gonna be a double album! I really want all those songs! Might be like Kid A/Amnesiac type thing but together instead of a year apart.

But nonetheless as a huge Radiohead fan who's heard most of the new songs live (last june here in Montreal, freakin awesome concert!) i can't wait to hear them as they were meant to be heard, which is good quality studio version!

Sorry, bad math i guess. I went to the converting site that they gave us and i futzed around with it and that's what it gave me, then i later realized that the US and Canadian dollar are almost the same.

Sorry! :P

$0.25

artists make their money from merchandise & successful tours, not selling albums.

Especially when you buy their album for a quarter.

if it matters so much to you, why don't you start an online petition to force them to sell their album for more?

Artists under a MAJOR label make money only from merch and touring, since the label takes most of the money--this is different, since Radiohead is using a DIY method, so to speak.

Whatever. I'll pay $30, as I haven't bought any of their merchandise in the past. Only their CD's via Best Buy and BMG. I haven't been into buying band merchandise since my high school days.

You know, I never went to their concerts because of the ticket prices. Maybe if they were one of my absolute faves. But I couldn't yet justify paying $80 for a general admission ticket. Maybe next time.

Typically, yes, but in this case, you couldn't be more wrong if your name was Wrongie McWrongenstein.

I think I'll pay $10...

Typically, the more elaborate the Special Edition packaging, the crappier the album.

agreed.

good news is that you can purchase the album for a wee bit via download, and then buy the whole package if it's decent. that's my plan!

So were you trying to pay $15 or did you think you were paying $7 and got nailed by the exchange?
