Jeff Buckley : Ten Years Later

Its been ten years since the great Jeff Buckley died. Despite his minimal musical output, he remains my favorite male artist to this day.

Any other fans in the room?

Huge fan here. Buckley was genius and is sorely missed. Oh, what might have been. Grace is in my regular rotation and I never cease to be amazed.

Loved Grace and really wish he'd have stuck around to make more music.

The thing I love is that Grace is very similar to My Bloody Valetines "Loveless" & Radioheads "OK Computer" in that it's legend just keeps growing over time.

Big fan here as well. I only regret that I wasn't able to experience his music while he was alive, simply because I was unaware of him. First read an article in EW about him around the time Sketches... came out. Immediately caught my attention, went to a local CD shop and picked up all 3 CDs they had. Was immediately converted, and have really enjoyed him ever since.

10 years? Geez, that was fast. Sadly, I think Jeff had a lot better material he would have cranked out over the years. "Grace" is a good album, but I'm pretty sure he could have topped it. Glad I saw him in a tiny cafe once.

I actually won a contest at Tower records to see him in the studio to record his follow up to Grace. Anyway, he then went on to drown (as we all know) and they obviously had to cancel. I don't think they gave me anything instead, though.

Yeah, that's the sad part of your story.

I actually think the newer edition of "Live at Sin E" (3 CD+DVD set) is his best album hands down. Amazing cover of a Nusrat fateh ali khan song on there...
