I have the box set and all the individual early albums (Blues Breakers, all 4 Cream CDs, Layla) so pass.

I was never really super impressed by the Blind Faith stuff, but maybe for a BMG freebie...

and my favorite Clapton song is Layla (the electric one with that sweet, sweet Duane Allman lick), followed by the Cream stuff, and Let It Rain.

This looks like a nice set. I might pick it up.

And Layla should not be grouped with "The early stuff"; it's one of the greatest rock songs ever.

Why does the grouping offend you? It is chronological.

The grouping doesn't, per se. It's just that his maserpiece should have it's own choice. It's kind of like having a poll for Best Brian Wilson Song and having the first selection be "Beach Boys stuff" instead of a choice for "God Only Knows" or "Wouldn't It Be Nice?". You see where I'm going with that?

All time favorite: Bell Bottom Blues

Was "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" a 45 only or non-LP b side? Only ever seen it on "best of" compilations

It's too bad for Clapton & his estate that I've already got all this stuff that I want on previous hits collections. I wonder why performers put out so many hits collections?

Another vote for Bell Bottom Bells.

I am not a Clapton fan but I have always loved that song from the first time I heard it.

Layla, by far, and both versions. I love the energy of the first one, and the somberness of the second. Plus the story behind the song.

My next favorite song would be Tears in Heaven and again there's a story behind it.

(I) Get Lost

That's a great song, and I'm bummed it's not on this. I do have the Chronicles CD, however, so I guess I'll just keep that.

Wasn't "Can't Find My Way Home" a Blind Faith song? It would've been cool if that was on here, too.

The only two things I wish were included are After Midnight (80's version) and Before You Accuse Me (Take a Look at Yourself)
