New album from The Hooters: "Time Stands Still" - N.A. date unknown

I know these guys are not exactly revered by the cognoscenti, but it's one of my fave bands. I love the incomparably full-bodied, yet melodic and not overly noisy, sound. Time Stands Still is The Hooters' first album in 13 years.
If anyone could help me out with a North American release date, I'd be appreciative. I was only able to find a German date.

Four of the new songs are available to listen on the band's Myspace page. "I'm Alive", a rousingly lovely track I have listened to several times now, is by far the best of those, and compares well with the band's top past output. Two others, including the title track, are not bad, but their take on Henley's "The Boys of Summer" is extremely lame. Still, I'll be getting the album if and when it's released here.

I think I just heard today that they were the backing band for Cyndi Lauper during the 80's. Was that right?

Could be. I do know they are associates of hers, and they did their own excellent version of "Time After Time".

They co-wrote Time After Time, and Eric Bazilian wrote "One Of Us" (performed
by Joan Osbourne). Saw them at clubs a few times in the 80s/90s, really great
bunch of guys to their fans. Not only did they sign a few album covers for me,
but some drum heads and sticks too. Good to see they're coming back with a new
album.

Thanks for the thoughts Brooklyn. Too bad so few people are interested. I assume no one here knows if and when the album will be released on these shores? If need be I can order it from Germany.

For the two or three people here who are interested, this album is now in release in North America.
It's one of the best albums I have heard in a while. "I'm Alive" is still probably the best cut, but "Until I Find You Again" and "Free Again" are not far behind. "Free Again" would be even better if it weren't so bloated, at 7 minutes. Literally the last three minutes of the song is an instrumental wind-down. Another very nice song is "Ordinary Lives". There's also a low-key version of "Boys of Summer", which is good (I changed my mind), but not in the same league as Henley's. There's a bonus, "hidden" eleventh track, but it's one of the album's more disposable songs, along with "Where the Wind May Blow".
