What album(s) most remind you of summer?

This is actually a really easy question for me to answer. The first is:

I got this tape sometime in 1994 and it never left my Walkman for that entire summer. With the exception of "Mad Lucas" it was a completely perfect, flawless album. Later that year I got my first CD ever, which was Pod. :)

The other is:

I got The Power Out sometime in May and listened to it a LOT that summer. The drive to the beach is about two hours and I usually used this CD to kick-start the drive. I didn't want something super high-energy and this was a nice smooth way to relax until we got closer to our destination.

Hot Fuzz is probably a distant third.

Yep me too. That album and the Flashdance soundtrack were playing constantly on a student bus tour I took of Europe. Hard to believe that's almost a quarter century ago.

DIGITAL UNDERGROUND - SEX PACKETS: Summer of 1990 I believe, we listened to that nonstop. Humpty Dance was everywhere.

Yeah, me too. That album was huge that year. I specifically remember hearing that album blasting out of the station speakers of the big roller coaster at my local amusement park in 83. I was 10, Return of the Jedi had just come out and I was riding the Cyclone with "Synchronicity 1" as a soundtrack. Good times...

Car keys? Wallet? A friend's number? A decoder ring? Microfiche containing spy plans?

Oh man. It would totally suck to lose your valet ticket. Were you never able to convince them the car was yours?

Maybe if you'd memorized the VIN number...

luckily i was able to get the car back - came in handy throughout that summer to make sure that the "V" was gone for good, and this http://a7.vox.com/6a00b8ea068718dece...5167de94-200pi found it's way into the tape deck quite frequently during follow up, uh, V Elimination Sessions - apparently it could have come back at any time, so we had to make sure it was gone for good.

Ah, the summer of 91'. I got this and Sting's "Soul Cages" with a record store gift certificate I received as a high school graduation gift. I wasted many hours by the pool that summer listening to both albums. Good times.

CrusaderU.2.K. 06-14-07 10:36 PM

Almost every enya album.

Mikael79 06-17-07 03:00 PM

Weezer's debut album always reminds me of summer.
