As for the singing along that zombiezilla mentioned I think that too goes both ways. I think during certain parts of songs having the crowd sing goes over really well while others, not so much. That being said if the whole crowd is singing along with the band (see The Arcade Fire) it can be pretty magical.

Part of the reason of seeing a concert is to see/hear the songs with a different perspective. Let's face it no matter how you cut it they won't sound the same as the recorded versions are recorded in a studio. Besides i just love the atmosphere for most concerts.
I saw Bryan adams last year and when he performed Cuts like a knife it was awesome being part(sort of) the song, for that brief amount of time. BTW it was a solid show, he was on stage for 2 hours and change
