CD Inventory Software?

I'm trying to find some CD Inventory Software so I can inventory my CD collection. I want to find one like DVD Profiler where I can type in the UPC code and it goes out and gets all the information. I have found some software that allows me to do that if I instert my CD, which is not so bad if you only have a couple but I have over 600+ CD's.

Anybody help?
Thanks

This is exactly what I'm looking for but unfortunately, I don't think it exists yet. I think there is a planned CD Profiler coming out sometime in the future, so maybe they will take it upon themselves to create such a database.

The closest thing I have come to is batch processing in some programs. You can put the cd in and it will store the info on your computer until you are ready to send them all at once.

this is not robust at all, but it's a pretty cool and simple site:

http://english.skivsamling.nu/

it's extremely basic. you type in the artist, title, format, and any comments that you want for each entry (and of course you can edit an entry later). i actually prefer it for it's simplicity. the only downside is that it takes a long time to input everything if you have a large collection. i have about 350 CDs and vinyl records and i would say it took me a couple of hours to put it all in.

Program/Website for Tracking CD Collection?

After checking out http://www.guzzlefish.com thanks to a thread over in the DVD Talk forum (I was less than impressied with the site), it got me to thinking...is there a DVD Profiler-esque program (or website) that performs a CD tracking function? Indexing off of the UPC (like guzzlefish, DVD Profiler do) would be a must, as I wouldn't want to have to key in information on over 1000 titles - I'd want to just scan the barcodes.

www.guzzlefish.com is getting popular. Nothing as simple and cohesive as DVD profiler yet, though the developers of DVD profiler have hinted that they are working on a CD counterpart.

online cd tracking - where?

I searched the forum and couldn't find anything, so I thought I'd risk a flame or two and ask - are there any sites like dvdaficionado where I can track and record all my cd's? it would make my life a lot easier (I even tried cdaficionado but no luck there - heh).

thanks in advance!

I use www.guzzlefish.com.

It doesn't count box sets exactly right, but it is the best out there.

Click on the link in my signature to check it out.

Best CD tracking site?

I have been trying guzzelfish... but it's very slow and is missing alot of my titles... which a few I submitted but one week later still have nothing added.

I also tryed Cd Tracker... which lets you add the info it's self.
Which I do like.

But it's not much of a community.

Anyway's any suggestions... thanks alot!

Guzzlefish, for all it's faults is still the best CD tracking site.

The site's creators are running with limited resources, so not everything is going to be the best, but the fact that I don't have to submit (most of) the titles I own, makes me very happy.

I've used the following for two years now. Very, very happy with it. Excellent customer support and routine updates once you purchase.

Favorite CD online inventory collection sites?

I know all about the dvd sites, my favorite now is DVDSpot. I just need to find a site to inventory my cd's now.

I currently have them listed on Guzzlefish, but as you know how reliable they have been over the last year. I just want to find a new place to list what I own.

Any ideas?

What do you mean about Guzzlefish's reliability? I know at times that site is slow and they don't list all of the CD's I own, but I've been fairly happy with it (considering it's free).

I'd like to bump this thread. When I started this thread I didn't realize it would be merged with a 2 year old thread into obscurity.

Are there any other sites that are good, reliable, lacks pop-ups, etc. then what has been mentioned?

I know there is got to be a site that is like these impressive dvd inventory sites that everyone is a member to.

No problem with a bounce, danganet.

Now that you've roadtested them all, what is your evaluation of all the options offered so far in the earlier parts of the thread? And do you have a reply for atlantamoi?
