So far I am really liking this album. I hated Medulla, but I love everything before it. Hopefully it will grow on me even more after a few listens.

I really like this album, too. It ranks close behind Post and Homogenic for me. Even though the songs aren't traditionally arranged, they're still much more appealing to me than the songs off Medulla.

The only song that I'm not really feeling is The Dull Flame of Desire.

At the same time, note that they gave Mick Jagger's latest solo album a 5/5.

Yeah, I wasn't really posting to mention the starred review as much as saying her funny album cover was in Rolling Stone's review. I take most reviews with a grain of salt. Hell, in the latest Blender they went over past 5 star reviews and mentioned a few they goofed up on.

edit... just listened to the album. I think it will be a grower. Hope so, because I'm slightly disappointed (fyi, I still think Post and Debut are her best).

For those without a leak, nme.com has it streaming on their site. I can only give it a quick go through before work, but I'm definately not disappointed. 'Declare Independence' is insane.

Say no to drugs, kids!

I haven't heard the leak yet, just Earth Intruders, which I really love. Looking forward to next week.

I was almost going to drive up to see her at the Apollo Theatre next week, which would've put me about $300 in the hole. Then I realized Konono N°1 (the opening band from the Congo) is playing in Philly in two days so I'm just going to see them.

I find it pretty stupid that she played so many shows in NYC but not even one in Philly.

I wish I was still a kid, but had to with my setup 120inch screen, 5.1 dvd-audio's of bjork and her latest release of which I hadn't heard yet, was waiting. The night just confirmed my notion of her being the greatest artist ever lol. Might be a game for the young but I had to try it one last time.....wow just wow what a night.

No prob.

I've been listening to it a lot via the stream - I definately like it. I'm a bit disappointed that 'Earth Intruders' is the exception rather than the rule and that it loses it's focus during the middle third or so ['I See Who You Are'/'Vertebrae by Vertebrae'/'Pneumonia']. However, I think it's at least as good as "Vespertine" and, at the very least, a step towards redemption after "Medulla"/"Drawing Restraint 9".

And too much Antony. 'Dull Flame of Desire' in particular would be much more enjoyable without him.

"Declare Independence" from Coachella:

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aM8SXfB5NHg"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aM8SXfB5NHg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

I didn't really like this song when I first heard the album version, but it's great live.

She closed out last night's Radio City show with declare independence, and yes indeed it kicked all sorts of asses. Her voice combined with the crazy laser bouncing off the walls, hot dang, it was pretty memorable....

I was lucky enough to see Bjork at Coachella...and the 23 hour
drive from Vancouver, BC to California was well worth it.

She was wonderful and adorable. I have been trying to see
her forever and I finally got my chance. It was worth the wait.

and miraculously, she's coming to Vancouver..so I will see her twice now.

Life is good.

Here's a pic I took~

Bjork and RUSH are my only "must see" artists and the only artists I would consider driving far to see. But still, the fact that nothing has been booked near LA is really bothering me. I love Bjork so much....
