Arcade Fire announce North American Tour!
From Pitchfork media:
Exclusive: Arcade Fire Unveil North American Tour And on the eighth day, God created the Arcade Fire. At least, that's what the Neon Bible says. Now, those lovable scamps from Montreal will take the emoting and the shouting and the clapping of hands and the lobby busking and the "Guns of Brixton" covering on a massive North American tour proper. After kicking off their five-night marathon run at NYC's Judson Memorial Church tomorrow night and jetsetting all over Europe with Patrick Wolf and Electrelane, the Aracde Fire return to the continent that spawned them in late April. Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Montreal receive multiple-night stands, while various East and West Coast cities catch Fire for one night apiece. Hope your Ticketmaster.com reloading fingers are extra itchy, people. Only 10 U.S. cities and no love for the South except GA. Hopefully they'll add some more stops but I doubt it.

Even though I may still go to this year's Coachella, I have an aversion to big, outdoor music festivals. I wish they'd be able to play another, indoor venue in the Los Angeles area.
I wouldn't mind making a trip to SD, but not if isn't the weekend. :( |
^ with the gap in april i hope they announce some la shows. only san diego? wtf is up with that.
|
any news on when the tickets go on sale
|
"Saturday Night Live"'s love affair with indie rock this season will continue on February 24, when the Arcade Fire will be the musical guest on the popular sketch-comedy show. Rainn Wilson, aka Dwight Schrute from "The Office", will be the host.
|
Perhaps it's their destiny calling, BDB. ;)

actually I'm kind of glad they are playing at DAR Constitution Hall, here in DC, I hadn't been there in ages, and I thought the acoutics for the Pet Shop Boys was better than I thought it would be.

Hey, at least you live a lot closer to SD than I do. I'd still think about making a trek, but then again as a Charger fan, I thought I'd go to more games down there this past year. (Oh, yeah....ticket prices for football games. That must be the reason.) Anyway, here's hoping with the gap -- like you said -- they'll announce more dates. |
