Malignant Narcissism. Sounds like something I would find on a death metal album.

Almost 60 minutes of music and probably some sort of bonus DVD!
Wow, three instrumental tracks? That's alright by me - although with two of them being so short, they might just be connected to the prior or following tracks.

so i just got far cry off of itunes. Am I the only one who hears bits of "Neurotica" in some of the guitar (especially right in the beginning and the bridge)? Great song and I definitely plan on goin to a concert for my fourth time seeing them live. Man can't believe it's been over 11 years since I first saw them live when I was 15 during the Test for Echo Tour.

From http://www.2112.net/powerwindows/

Although nothing has been officially announced, exciting rumors are surfacing regarding the new album! The latest rumor is that besides the standard cd format, Snakes & Arrows, along with the new Linkin Park album, will be the first albums released on Warner Music's new "DVD Album" format. This format will be a 25,000 copy limited edition, and will include a special 26 page booklet.

Announced by Warner Music last August, in an age where fans will spend $3.00 to buy a ring tone but won't spend $12 to buy a cd, record companies are trying to find new ways to entice fans to buy the album. Not to be confused with the DualDisc format, this will be a fully interactive DVD, and will include the album in 5.1 surround sound, as well as a ~43 minute "making of" video, cel-phone ringtones, wallpapers, text, and other digital extras that can only be accessed via computer, including the ability to extract the album tracks onto the users computer for use in mp3 players, etc. The limited edition will retail in the area of $24, while the cd version will be around $12.

The downside is, the limited edition may not be ready in time for the pre-announced May 1st release date. Accordingly, WEA is kicking around keeping the cd release on May 1st while releasing the special edition two weeks later (as some online retailers currently have it listed). The other option is to delay the release of both editions until May 15th, so fans who can't wait do not feel obligated to buy the cd version first, followed by the limited edition two weeks later. WEA would like to avoid this second option, however, as this is the same release date as the new Linkin Park album and would thus compete for sales. More details to follow.

Really, how much overlap is there between Linkin Park's fan base and Rush's?

It may be because they don't go on presale until tomorrow (I think).

As far as I know you can only sign up right now, they send a verification email to the account you used and that was the last I heard.

Did anybody else get anything besides the verification email?

Update: You might want to pre-register (Yeah I know I thought I already did that) https://rush-preorder.shop.musictoda...cp=10852_10946

Click on the New Shoppers link.

I'm _SO_ not a concert goer anymore (at least not to big arenas). Whatever shows I go to, I can usually get tickets the day of.

So we have a regular sale, a pre-sale, and now a pre-order for the pre-sale? WTF? For the pre-sale (which doesn't start for San Diego until Apr 10th), if I pre-order, how does that work? I leave my question that general rather than asking a bunch of stupid questions. I've registered/validated my e-mail, but obviously I can't do anything else because it's too soon for San Diego. I just don't understand what the process will be.

Thanks in advance, guys.

I don't know what the process is either, but I guess I'll find out in a couple hours and I will write a full report.

The PRE-ORDER is for the CD or CD/Shirt Combo...the PRE-SALE is for concert tickets.

The PRE-SALE requires that you only register your e-mail address....the PRE-ORDER is for the online store and requires a username and password.

2 more hours before my tix go on sale!!

Well that pre-sale was a big steaming turd! I got to pick tickets about 30 seconds after 10 AM and I got row T! The heck with that! But when you dump your tickets you have to go all the way out and come back in and that took 5 minutes! And of course all tickets were sold out by that time.

I'll wait till tickets go on sale to the general public.

I'm sure the Brokers/Promoters have already had the first pick.

Well... I'm guessing I won't do any better when my venue's tickets go on sale.

Pre-sales for most artists never have good seats available. If you can hold out that long, wait until the days leading up to the show as prime seats are usually released.
