Gerald Levert died in his sleep !

He's dead, that sucks, I liked his music.

Damn R.I.P I remember my mom and pops jamming to Levert back in the days.

DJariya 11-10-06 04:50 PM

That's very sad especially since he was only 40. Although I know he was always on the heavy side, he always looked healthy.

:hscratch: back in the days? I must be really old if the 80s and 90s are old timer years now.

EdTheRipper 11-10-06 09:54 PM

Too bad. I remember particularly liking one of his solo songs, I'd Give Anything(To Fall In Love).

No it just means my little broke ass couldn't/wasn't buying music at the time so I listened to whatever my parents listened to. I'm 28 btw.

"Just Coolin" sure was a good tune. Let's not forget "Cassanova" too.

Gerald and Eddie Levert also delivered one of the best renditions of The Star Spangled-Banner.

R.I.P.

Man, what a weeked of losses.

Buford T Pusser 11-10-06 11:35 PM

If only someone would have woken him up. :(

Giantrobo 11-11-06 04:37 AM

I heard this last night. How sad. :(

This sucks. I'm glad to stumble upon this thread since I haven't seen it announced in the media in regards to his untimely death. Along with his work on Levert and his solo projects, I enjoyed the album that he did with Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill as LSG.
