Local Bands

We all have them and to be honest most are complete shit but I thought I would make this post for the ones who aren't and may actually be worth listening to.

Please feel free to post your own

Here is mine
The link is to their MySpace website where you can check out a few of their song

The Decadent West

And again if there is a local band you think is worth hearing please post a link to them.

Nice plug. How long have you been their manager?

CodShane 10-05-06 10:38 PM

I was being completely serious just thought it would be a cool thread where I and others could check out some music you normaly wouldn't get to.

Shadow Reichenstein from the DFW,Texas area. But they tour the USA and Europe fairly regularly, and do very well, so they won't be "local" for long! You'll see...

How about changing the thread title. You might get more response. And while I was in the Dallas my favorite local band was Blue October.

We have these each year, just not for this year.

BTW, my friend's local band I plugged (Omnisoul) is now on Wind Up records.

I apperently Don't know how to change the title but anyway here is another local band, Well a local rap group who I think has some definite potential.

It's kinda suspicious to use your first two posts to drop plugs...

Like they'll never be "big." ;)

Their radio single ("Hate Me Today") is being played on air in San Antonio constantly. It's catchy, yet disturbing.

I used to always plug the hell out of Blue October when threads of these sort came up. I started going to their shows when they played the local cafes and college bars back when they were in school here. Most of 'em still live here in town and it's not unusual to run into them at the grocery store from time to time.

Not to mention the thread title for a thread by a "new" member is "Something that has really never been discussed here..." as if the member has some evident history...

When I read the thread title, I thought this would be a thread about if anyone felt empathy for singer Aaliyah's tragic death.

When in Orlando check out Ariya!! My friend Greg is in the band.
