Suggestions for 50's/60's music similar to Mama Cass/Lesley Gore/Petula Clark
Like the title says, i'm looking for suggestions for good 50's/60's music in the same tone as Mama Cass's "Make your own kind of music", Lesley Gore's "It's My Party", and Petula Clarke's "Downtown".

My favorites by these artists:
Mama Cass - Dream a Little Dream of Me
Leslie Gore - Maybe I Know
Petulia Clark - I Know a Place
The last has the most insane Spector-style Wall-of-Sound production ...
Are you looking for artists with loads of material? There are lots of one hit wonders out there ...
How about Dusty Springfield? Jackie DeShannon? Merilee Rush? Timi Yuro? Gale Garnett? Little Peggy March? Are you looking specifically for solo artists or would girl (or mixed) groups be ok ... if so, maybe Spanky and Our Gang or the Cowsills? Black groups or solo artists? If so, the Shirelles and Dionne Warwick ...
For the 50s:
Brenda Lee
Connie Francis
Teresa Brewer
Joni James (don't think that any of her material is available as she owns it all)
Styles changed so much from the 50s to the 60s that the 50s stuff isn't really that directly comparable to the sunnier stuff from the 60s.

All those previously mentioned are probably the best recs.
Also worth mentioning if including bands is okay: The Chiffons, Shirelles, Ronettes, Crystals, Shangri-Las
solo: Lulu, Cilla Black

Lesley Gore has an incredible back catalogue worth checking out. I've got her 4-disc box set, which even though I love, is probably overkill for most people. But I do recommend her 2-disc Mercury Anthology.
My fav Petula Clarke song (besides "Downtown") would be "Sign of the Times". A greatest hits should suffice for her.
Dusty Springfield is an obvious choice. I've got her 3-disc anthology, but again that may be a bit much for some. I'd recommend a greatest hits along with the Rhino re-issue of "Dusty in Memphis".
If you wanna explore many other artists, I'd recommend these two boxes...
