LOL Pitchfork review of new Jet album

It's rude, mean, childish and funny as hell.

I like Pitchfork. They're huge snobs, but the site is fairly good for news and interviews and it's not too hard for me to read between the lines of their reviews to figure out if I'd like an album. As for the current review, I don't hate Jet, but that review had me in tears. Utterly hilarious.

When Patti Smith said "writing about music is like dancing about architecture", I don't think that's what she had in mind.

Can someone post the review? I can't seem to get onto pitchforkmedia.

Hearing their singles and seeing their videos, Jet comes across as a "hard rockin' band". Got their first album and besides those 2-3 songs, it was all ballads! They're more of a ballad band that has a couple of hard rockin' songs, than a hard rock band that has a couple ballads.

It's a losing battle since you got more attention than me, but it was still on page one...

nodeerforamonth, the complete content of the review and even a little bit extra (the opening titles) can be found here:

Edit to add: And that's not a joke (from me, at least) - that is the exact body of the review.

I thought that was an Elvis Costello quote...
