do you still feel sorry and empathy that singer AALIYAH is dead?

Aaliyah
the best singer RnB and succesful actress
so loving by many people in all world.....
do you still feel sad and empathy that young talented girl is dead in tragic accident?

freshticles 10-02-06 04:27 AM

successful actress??...was queen of the damned successful??

rimber 10-02-06 05:12 AM

movie was crappy
but AALIYAH was talented actress, espewcially in "romeo must die" wasn't she?
who saw aaliyah in "romeo must die"?

EdTheRipper 10-02-06 05:20 AM

It sucks that she died so young but I haven't given her much thought since it happened really.

boredsilly 10-02-06 06:25 AM

Yeah, it's not like the thought of her death keeps me up at night, but the "Rock the Boat" video came on a couple of weeks ago and it did make me a little bummed.

NORML54601 10-02-06 06:33 AM

I didn't care when it happened.

mdc3000 10-02-06 08:37 AM

It's too bad she died so young, but feeling sorry and empathy YEARS later for a person I didn't even know? Not a chance. Awkwardly worded thread title, and I don't get teary when I hear her on the radio - although I wasn't a fan...

I don't feel sorry or empathy for people I even was a fan of (Kurt Cobain). People die, it's sad when it happens, but it happens. If they made good music or entertainment, I appreciate that for years to come, but if I let those emotions get to me on a daily basis...how could you function?

MATT
weird thread

TGM 10-02-06 08:40 AM

Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. 10-02-06 09:07 AM

absolutely not

cdollaz 10-02-06 09:07 AM

Who Alihaah is?

I not no her. she actres or singer now.

I loving movie and successful. tragic movie

Turd Ferguson 10-02-06 09:19 AM

I feel loss for her as a young woman with her life ahead of her, but as an artist, I don't think her death left a huge hole. In contrast, with artists like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Bob Marley, I think there's a real sorrow in wondering what incredible music might have been. With Aaliyah (sp?), I think there were and are plenty of slickly polished one-name clones ready to take her place.

wendersfan 10-02-06 09:30 AM

Who?

Respectfully, what do you hope to accomplish by this thread?

gmal2003 10-02-06 10:15 AM

I think she was headed toward a good singer/actress career. Her role in the Matrix sequels would given her a boost media wise. If Im not mistaken, she was dating Dame Dash at the time also which might have led to her music career propelling even further . To be honest though, I havent thought about it much. It was rather tragic when it happened with her being so young and growing up here in Detroit.

TGM 10-02-06 10:17 AM

How do you expect me to get over this when I have yet to come to terms with the tragic loss of Richie Valens?

what do you think about Aaliyah's angelic image?
you know, many people talk that she was as a angel.....simply so pure and innocent good person.
really?

Ginwen 10-02-06 01:41 PM

I think those people are insane, and really should be locked up for their own good.

Lots of angels are secretly married to R. "I Wanna Piss On You" Kelly at age 15. Seriously.

UncleGramps 10-02-06 04:03 PM

 I love this thread. Really? Really!

TGM 10-02-06 04:17 PM

I saw Aaliyah's angelic image on a burnt piece of toast I made this morning. I will gladly put it up for auction on ebay...

Jason 10-02-06 05:19 PM

EDIT: threadcrap self-deleted. Just cause this guy really likes Aaliyah is no reason to slam her.

Spiderbite 10-02-06 06:01 PM

John Lennon, yes.

Aaliyah...not so much.

Good call. I've never been able to understand how random "fans" of some shitty RnB or rap artist can get so worked up over a flavor of the moment like her.

Some people put her up there with John lennon it seems. In terms of making a big deal out of mourning. He was a genuine and tragic loss, I believe, to music. She wasn't.

That's not to say she deserved to die. It's always tragic when someone loses their life at such a young age, but come on, how many other innocent, poor, malnourished other people lose their lives everyday? Even in this country.

In conclusion, no I don't care that she's dead. I don't miss her image or her music.

MANBREASTS 10-02-06 07:32 PM

I'm sure R kelly feels bad every day, I'm sure she was one hell of a lay when he married her
