The lack of 5.1 is disappointing as if there was any album that screamed for that type of mix it is Hysteria.

I also hope the audio of the In the Round show is remixed and not just a straight transfer of the audio from the video release which is in surround sound. Hopefully it sounds more like the Women live B-Side from the Rocket Single and is on the previous Hysteria Deluxe Edition. Sounds much better than the audio from DVD to these ears anyway.

They should also release the entire Tilburg 87 show. They must have pretty much the whole show mixed already since they have released several songs from that show.

Comparing the 3-disc edition to the 2006 2-disc edition, if you were to replace the older with the new one, you would...

---gain a few radio edits
---lose the live version of "Elected"

I'm a superfan who feels disloyal for not keeping up with the latest edition, but I'd rather keep Elected than gain the radio edits already on Vault & Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection.

(I don't think the BIG set is in my future financially)

Wow, was pretty excited about this monster edition (In The Round Live CD's!) but that price tag is more than I can really justify.

Time to break out the 2006 2 disc set.

I am good with the old deluxe edition. No 5.1 and the price tag (plus having most everything already on the original deluxe edition) is making me stay home on this one.

Thanks for the information about the 3 CD version!

Amazon currently has the 3 CD set available for pre-order for only $22.99!

Also, looks like there is a Target exclusive single disc edition for $9.99. It includes 4 limited edition guitar picks (looks like the single covers). Also see the product description for a chance to win a Phil Collen guitar (no purchase necessary)!
