Can We Talk About Interpol?

I'm just discovering what an amazing band they are... my favourite song is definitley ''Hands Away''...

Is there any love for them on these boards?

They're about as inventive as Wolfmother, but they do make a nice racket. Their second album has better individual tracks than the first but is not as good overall, IMO. Their secret weapon: their drummer and bassist are both very tight.

Favorite song: "Roland".

I'm a fan, mostly because I was a huge fan of all those bands they rip off. But if we're going to have a late-70s rock revival, better Joy Division revivalism than Journey revivalism. :)

Love Interpol. Unfortunately, their first album may end up being their best.

Seriously? "Roland" has one of the worst lines of all time ("Oh look it stopped snowing") and it totally ruins the song for me. Then again, no one listens to Interpol for the lyrics.

Favorite songs:
1. Untitled
2. The New
3. Obstacle 1 (has one horrible lyric but music is too good to be left off this list)
4. A Time to Be So Small (any version)
5. Narc

And I agree that the first album is much, much better than the second one.

I love this band. My favorite songs are C'mere and Obstacle 2.

Great studio albums. Complete shit live. :(
