Music help question: Night Ranger guitar solo
OK, my buddy just called me to ask my opinion of this question:
In the song "You can still Rock in America", which guitar player, Brad Gillis or Jeff Watson, does the 8-finger tap guitar solo? I could swear that when I saw them live they both were playing on the same guitar (4 fingers each), but in the 80's, I had a Brad Gillis lesson video and I know he did the 8-finger tap. My buddy swears that Watson was the 'tap-master' and the solo was his. I used to have the GFPM magazine with that in it, and I believe it said who it was, but I no longer have the mag. Can anyone verify who does the lead in this song? Thanks, S2 |
I'm not sure, but Brad was more the whammy-bar/cool-harmonics-sounds whiz, while Jeff was the 8-finger master.

Watson does the 8 finger tapping solo on "You can Still Rock In America".
He also has a great solo cd called 'Lone Ranger' featuring guest star Allan Holdsworth. He really showcases his technique on this disc. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...900069?ie=UTF8 |

And Brad Gillis plays guitar on Ozzy Osbourne's live CD, "Speak of the Devil". Does quiet well, too!
