Sounds pretty good. I was hoping for some of the songs they sang in the last tour to be on the album, Life in Stereo(?) and Where is She?
Maybe they will be B-sides. I hope this album lives up to promise of Hot Fuss.

What's strange is that many albums that have come out, even historically, tend to have the #1 single in the #3 track slot. Strange.

Wow. Those Pitchfork people hate everything don't they.
Having listened to it a few more times, I love it. The guitar work is awesome. On Hot Fuss, you could always tell there was great guitar underneath, but the rest of the must overpowered it. You can hear flashes of great guitar on "All These Things That I've Done" and others.
I like the more guitar driven sound.

That Pitchfork review is spot on.
Still, it sounds promising. I think Hot Fuss was pretty front-loaded. I tended not to hear much of the stuff after "All These Things That I've Done" (probably my favorite song on there).

First dates announced for their tour.

The Killers Announce Massacre of a Tour
Leave naught but bloodshed, screaming fans in their wake
Love them or rather puree your genitals in a blender while listening to Puddle of Mudd than ever hear them again, there's no denying that the Killers are quite an alternative rock juggernaut these days. The flamboyant fourpiece has just announced an October-long North American tour of appropriately massive venues, kicking off a few days after Sam's Town arrives in a million teenage bedrooms on October 3. But enough with the snarkery! Here are the datez:
10-06 Los Angeles, CA - The Wiltern
10-07 Los Angeles, CA - The Wiltern
10-08 San Francisco, CA - Warfield Theatre
10-10 Portland, OR - Roseland Theater
10-11 Vancouver, British Columbia - Orpheum Theatre
10-12 Seattle, WA - Paramount Theatre
10-14 Magna, UT - The Great Salt Air
10-15 Denver, CO - Fillmore Auditorium
10-17 Chicago, IL - Congress Theatre
10-18 Detroit, MI - State Theatre
10-20 Toronto, Ontario - Koolhaus
10-21 Atlantic City, NJ - Borgata Event Center
10-23 Philadelphia, PA - Electric Factory
10-24 New York, NY - Theatre at Madison Square Garden
10-25 New York, NY - Theatre at Madison Square Garden
10-26 Boston, MA - Orpheum Theatre
10-28 Las Vegas, NV - Sam Boyd Stadium (Vegoose Festival)
The Killers' website states that tickets go on sale August 22nd (presale) through Concertmaps.com, and to the general public on the 25th.

I really like the Killers, and they put on a good show. But I don't like the new single at all. Bleh. Hopefully they are releasing the worst song on the album as the first single. Yeah......right.
