http://www.pimlico.com/NewsEvents/Up...inFestival.htm

Tickets go on sale Saturday July 22nd at 10 AM. I would guess that you could probably buy the tickets anytime though. Pimilco holds over 100,000 people for the Preakness. I'm assuming the crowd won't be as big for this though.

exactly how far is Pimlico Race track from downtown Baltimore is there anyway to get there without a car - that is, if I take a train up from DC?

If I have to rent a car - what's up with the parking... the premimum parking through Ticketbastards for 25 bucks are sold out - there's still parking though, right?

and.. ?! ... did anyone go to this last Saturday??

I didn't get the sense tickets really sold that well, with Saturday being Rosh Hashannah.

If Virgin does this again, they need to improve the lineup for the Dance Tent, throw a big name as a headliner, like Daft Punk or Basement Jaxx, anyone .. a live act not a DJ preferably.

I went! It was a total blast! The dance tent was certainly seeing a ton of action for your poo-pooing of the DJs.

40,000 attended (the grounds could support 60,000). Not a bad turn out for the 1st annual. Plus I got to meet the Scissor Sisters. You should consider going if they do it again next year. Well worth $100 for 12+ hours of fun!

well by next year I hope to own a car... that would help getting back and forth to DC!

also I would have loved to have seen/heard 2ManyDJ's spinning in the dance tent, as the CD's I have from them are a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

Truth be told. With the hassel of parking and paying to park, you might be better served taking one of the Lindy promotions buses that left at 9 am from Dupont Circle and picked you up to bring you home 30 after the event ended. I think the whole "combo" of bus ticket and event ticket was like $130. If I hadn't had a designated driver, that's what I'd have ended up doing!

It said "1st Annual" so I'm assuming they intend to make a tradition out of it!
