Very cool. I'd love to have them all. I would have liked this boxset to have them all, but maybe one will be forthcoming yet?

And I know because I have ALL of them.
I'd love to see a tracklist, so I know what I'm missing!

I second this, if you could DIgital.

That way, I can look to see what I have and what I am missing.

I will have to do some digging. I've been meaning to make one disc per album (for b-sides) but I've gotten caught up in my HD DVD projects.

I'm not digitalfreaknyc, but I have put all the studio b-sides onto 4 discs. I did play around with the order a bit so they would flow, and mixed up the chonology a bit, but I think they're all listed:

Disc 1: Little B-sides
1. Upside Down
2. Sweet Dreams
3. Here, In My Head
4. Angie
5. Ode to the Banana King (Part One)
6. Flying Dutchman
7. Sugar
8. Song For Eric
9. Mary
10. Humpty Dumpty
11. Take to the Sky
12. Smells Like Teen Spirt
13. The Pool
14. Thoughts
15. Thank You

Disc 2: Pink B-sides
1. A Case of You
2. Siren
3. All the Girls Hate Her
4. Over It
5. Butterfly
6. If 6 Was 9
7. Honey
8. Black Swan
9. Famous Blue Raincoat
10. Daisy Dead Petals
11. Home on the Range - Cherokee Edition
12. Losing My Religion
13. I'm On Fire
14. Sister Janet
15. Strange Fruit
16. Down By the Seaside (with Robert Plant)
17. Finn
18. Paradiso Perduto
19. I Wanna Get Back With You (with Tom Jones)

Disc 3: Pele's Girls
1. Ring My Bell
2. Blue Skies (with BT)
3. Amazing Grace / Til the Chicken
4. Alamo
5. Frog on my Toe
6. Graveyard
7. London Girls
8. Hungarian Wedding Song
9. That's What I Like Mick
10. Merman
11. This Old Man
12. Samurai
13. Toodles Mr. Jim
14. Sister Named Desire
15. After All
16. Only Women Bleed
17. Murder, He Says
18. You Belong To Me
19. Carnival

Disc 4: Scarlet's Hotel
1. Bachelorette
2. Beulah Land
3. Never Seen Blue
4. Cooling
5. Do It Again
6. Purple People
7. Have Yourself a Merry Little Chirstmas
8. Operation Peter Pan
9. Mountain
10. Ruby Through the Looking Glass
11. Seaside
12. Bug a Martini
13. Apollo's Frock
14. Tombigbee
15. Indian Summer
16. Happy Workers

Some songs like Ring My Bell and Happy Workers would technically be from the Little Earthquakes era and would fit at the end of Disc 1 instead of where I put them, but those 15 songs on disc 1 are perfect as they are, IMO, and I didn't want to ruin it.

You missed:

Sarah Sylvia Synthia Stout
Abbey Road
Landslide
Love Song

I had included those because there were "professionally" recorded versions.

Other than that (oh, and your chronology is tremendously fucked up ), it looks complete.

I stuck with songs that were officially released on CD in some manner (although I included Mountain which was an online only song so I guess I wasn't too strict with that rule). In my bootlegs, I've got Sarah Sylvia Synthia Stout and Love Song both in the studio, and a few versions of Landside (I'm not sure without checking if any are studio recordings or if they're all live). Looks like I don't have a version of Abbey Road anywhere in my collection.

(oh, and your chronology is tremendously fucked up )
I thought I explained that. The b-sides from singles of the same album are kept together, though not in they order they were released, nor the order they appear on the singles. I took liberties with placing songs from soundtracks/var. artist CDs and switched the albums Strange Little Girls and From the Choirgirl Hotel around just so I wouldn't have to split up b-sides from one album onto two CDs.

Landslide was on a radio station compilation disc which is why I included it. Plus I just adore her version

Looks like I'll probably be doing those CD's after this boxed set comes out. I'd like everything to be as complete as possible. Unfortunately I'll probably have to smush everything together as it will no longer be 1 disc per album.

Thanks. Now I can look through all my cds to see what I'm missing and what I need to go on the hunt for.

I see a big chunk of songs that I don't have, so I'll be hunting a bit.

Wow, I haven't check back in a few days!

Thanks for the tracklist. I'll have to match it against what I already have.

For what it's worth, I think the packaging is meh....

Awww, they're not including a bonus disc of "Y Kant Tori Read"????

I have to agree with the seeming majority that the tracklist is rather uninspired. Hardcore Tori fans already have the studio stuff, and let's be honest... the only people that buy Tori's music now are the hardcore fans. It's not something that the casual listener seeks out. I picked up Little Earthquakes and Under the Pink, but then her music got too... I guess the only word I can think of is weird. It seemed that she grabbed ahold of that "space case" persona that reviewers talked about and really amplified it.

If there were more of her early b-sides and more of her great cover songs on the compilation, I would have gladly bought it.

I agree that the choice of songs makes no sense, but "From The Choirgirl Hotel" is anything but weird. It's very good. "Boys For Pele" is pretty damn good and "Scarlett's Walk" was 1/2 of a great cd. Nothing she'll ever do will compare with "Litte Earthquakes." Screw RS, I'd have that in my top 10 albums in the last 30 years.

Nothing beats From the Choir Girl Hotel, in my opinion.

Barnes and Noble is offering an EXCLUSIVE 6-disc version of A Piano: The Collection. The online price ($59.98/non-members, $53.98/members) reflects a 20% discount.

B&N’s website says:

”...our exclusive edition of A Piano includes a 27-minute DVD interview with Tori, shot at her home studio, in which she discusses her career and the making of this one-of-a-kind set. The entirely remastered box features rarities such as: an entirely resequenced version of the Little Earthquakes album, a 22-track disc of B-sides, and the previously Internet-only track “Merman.” There’s track-by-track notation by Tori herself, scads of rare photos, and amazing packaging—the collection is housed in a replica piano box with full-sized keys!”

I'll end up ordering this for the bonus dvd, but I know that she'll spend 26 of those minutes talking about fairies.

yep. listened to them this afternoon.

And then i realized what a huge monumental waste this boxed set really is. It could've been a 1 disc set...

Hell...it could've been an EP with how few new songs there are on there.

And I'd love to know what they consider "remastered." Another Tori disappointment.

On the plus side, though, the new songs sound pretty good. Cept for that "clothes" song. That had to have been an improv. She can't possibly be that stupid.

I don't understand how she is releasing "remastered" versions of songs that are just 2 years old. Makes no sense.
