I m a fan of Oasis, espcally the earlier stuff, but this list is laughable. 10 albums and only 6 bands?
Of course it's a completely subjective list, but without Zeppelin IV or A Dylan ablum, I can't take it seriously. I had to look up The Stone Roses on allmusic, I'd never even heard of them and I have pretty eclectic taste in music.
The top 10:

I think this poll reveals the British to be idiots, frankly. Not all British, of course. Just those who think that a derivative band led by a 60's wannabe moron could even come within a bull's roar of the Beatles. I think it's symptomatic of what's been happening in British music the last 15 years or so. No originality, no innovation...just copycats.

Definitely Maybe is one of my absolute favorite albums of all time, so I can't say that I 100% disagree with the poll results. I'd give it to Revolver, but that's just my opinion.

I guess it was in the late '90's when Charles Barkley led a group of imbecile C-List celebrities on a VH1 show called "The List" and chose Prince's "When Doves Cry" as the greatest song of all time. That's when I realized none of these lists mean shit. In retrospect, it should have dawned on me much sooner.

Definitely Maybe is a damned good album, at least they picked the right Oasis album. However, I don't even think Definitely Maybe is the best British guitar-based-rock album of the mid-ninties (that title goes to Pulp's Different Class) let alone the greatest album of all time.

I think someone accidentally hit the "1" key twice when they were adding in U2's THE JOSHUA TREE; after that, they still had a #1 slot open and an Oasis album left and thought, "Hmm, it must go there..."

The worst song on Sgt. Pepper is better than the best song on DM. And I really like DM.

One good thing about this list is "Pet Sounds" isn't on it. While it's a good album I've never understood why everyone thinks it's comparable with Sgt. Pepper's. As far as I'm concerneed they're not in the same league.
