i didn't quite know what to expect, since i'm not familiar with cee-lo. i am, however, familiar with danger mouse, and i really liked the latest gorillaz disc.
this album is great! very wacky, and has an outkast-ish (stankonia) feel to it. totally wacky... right up my alley!

Yeah, I'm loving it. "Crazy", "Transformer", the 'smiley faces' (?) song, and a few others are excellent stuff. Looks like the 9th is the release date... though none of the big retailers have prices listed yet.

Anyone who loves this, and has not heard Cee-Lo's solo work should do themselves a favor and pick up his first album ASAP. It is excellent. The second one's pretty good, too.

Those not familiar with Cee-Lo may find the album to be a bit out there, but I'm really feeling it. Crazy's got a great groove to it and a creative music video to match it. It's a brief LP, but easy to get into if you're familiar with Cee-Lo's previous work.

I'm loving this cd a lot. I think Hollowgen has it right: it sounds FRESH! I've been disillusioned with how warmed over everything sounds these days, but this cd just sounds so alive when compared to everything else out there. Good stuff.

I listened to it all the way through on napster yesterday. I liked what I heard of it. I'm going to let it be for a while because I may take it with me this summer on my road trip to Las Vegas. But I'm sure if I don't pick it up at that time, I'll pick it up eventually.
Thumbs up from me, too.

i gave this a serious 6 or so listens today. it's awesome. a lot like Love Below, but better IMO.
Outkast were the godfathers of this "soul-hop" (heh, i don't know what else to call this) - well, Andre 3000, really. now Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo are taking it to the next generation.

probably my fave album of the year so far. (the radiohead album is still on the horizon and i expect it to be part of the best album competition...
)

Anybody know what song is sampled at the beginning of the song "St. Elsewhere"? (It's in the first 5 seconds)
Also, there's a guitar... jangle, for lack of a better word, all over "Storm Coming" that i recognize. anybody? (Cee-Lo also says "Here I come/I come/I come" which is straight out of yet another song that I can't put a name to... Oops, just googled and it's "Sex Type Thing" by Stone Temple Pilots!

I also think that this is an early contender for album of the year. I could listen to Crazy, Smiley Faces, Just a Thought, Transformer and Who Cares? over and over and over, and there's not a track on the album that I don't like. I have the first Goodie Mob album already, but after listening to this, I'm probably going to pick up Cee-Lo's solo albums too.
