Can you ID this song from just two words? "Sorry now"

There's a song that gets played on Q101 in Chicago every now and again, kind of a slow mellow alternative tune, probably from the 90's. All I know about it is it contains the words "Sorry now". I can't say for certain whether it goes:

"I'm sorry now"

or

"Who's sorry now"

There's a pause after now before the next line is delivered.

It sounds kind of like Lou Reed, slightly deeper voice than Dan Wilson from Semisonic.

I know this isn't much to go by, but I'm sure it's quite a well known song and someone will be able to identify it!

Thanks

Mark

I'll listen for it when I have Q101 on, though typically I listen to CDs in the car.

You could try calling the station and asking them. My friend did that a few weeks ago and they answered his question about a song he had heard.

Jude - I'm Sorry Now

Welcome to my world
Won't you please find a seat
There is no need to worry
I'm the only one to meet
I just wanted to express myself to you
Hey undiluted and with nobody else to confuse

See I was Marvin Gaye and Bond, James Bond
I was taking all day so I could turn you on
And I hated when you'd look away
When I was inside and slowly gettin' to it
It didn't help a lot when you would turn around
And I was on the top
And you would say
Baby you can do it

I'm sorry now
And it's too late
I'm sorry now
Do you have to hate me
I'm sorry now
So sorry yeah
I wish you wished I wished you love
I wish you wished I wished you love

I hate spaghetti
And I also hate divorce
You probably already know that by then of course
I like the earthquakes
I like it when the world shakes
I like the cracks it takes out of the walls
When two people
Lovers
Are acting like dolls in the arms of each other
That's my alarm

I'm sorry now
And it's too late
I'm sorry now
Do you have to hate me
I'm sorry now
So sorry yeah
I wish you wished I wished you love
I wish you wished I wished you love
I wish you wished I wished you love

Life is so unkind
You can fall behind
You know that I'm inclined
To ease your mind
Anytime

So welcome baby
I wondered when your countenance would change
From sunshine and vanilla
To the raven tones of rage
And my back never looked so broad to you
As now when turned upon the fool who spurned me
Boo hoo hoo

I'm sorry now
And it's too late
I'm sorry now
And you have to hate me
I'm sorry now
So sorry yeah
I wish you wished I wished you love
I wish you wished I wished you love
I wish you wished I wished you love
I wish
I wish
I wish
I wish
I wish you wished I wished you love
I wish you wished I wished you love
I wish you wished I still wanted love with you
But I'm through it
Forget you

I already discovered that song though google and when I listened to it at Amazon, it's not the right song - Jude's song is a bit more uptempo than the song I'm looking for. Thanks for your suggestion though!

Is it Sugar Ray?

No, again a bit too uptempo. The song I'm thinking of is more along the lines of a as stripped down as "Sweet Jane" by VU/Cowboy Jumkies

So, I made a new friend last week and we've been exchanging mp3s via email. Tonight she sent me "Lost Cause" by Beck, which starts with the line "Your sorry eyes.... they cut through the bone". Yep, that was the song, though obviously I was only correct on one of the words. Weird the way things happen like that.

I'm wanting to say Alice in Chains or Temple of the Dog.

if you ever wonder about a song you hear on the radio again then check out yes.com. remember the time you heard it and it will show you a list of songs and the time they played on the radio station.

Yep. His last two independent albums were really good.

I went to look for them on Amazon, really expensive. Went to CD Baby, priced to sell.

And that Beck song wasn't from the 90s, though. I think it was early 2005, late 2004. I think the whole album was written during/after a bad breakup, so it was his cathartic album.
