Warped Tour 2006

The 2006 Warped Tour kicks off on 6/15 in Columbia, MD. I attended 2004 but not last year because I thought the lineup wasn't great. I'm more excited about this group. Luckily for me, they are playing the tour in Raleigh, instead of Charlotte on June 27.

The Germs?!??! Who's going to be singing?!??!

Well I'd be into the Buzzcocks, Germs, Helmet, Joan Jett, Less Than Jake, Pink Spiders, & Riverboat Gamblers. Looks like a great line up.

Man I feel so old. The GERMS.
I still have my blue circle shirt.
Without Darby Crash. Its like
the Ramones without Joey.

I attended the 1st tour when
Pennywise headlined. That
was pretty much the end of
festival style concerts for me.
I remember the dual-stage and
the crowds moving as one from
one to another. Still some very
good bands this year.

This is easily the best lineup in the past few years. I might actually go, even if it's by myself.

Looking forward to: The Academy Is, Against Me!, Anti Flag, Bouncing Souls, Every Time I Die, Gatsbys American Dream (but I don't think they're playing the WA date), Less Than Jake, The Living End, Motion City Soundtrack, Mute Math, Nofx, Reggie & The Full Effect, Rise Against, Say Anything, Saves The Day, Stretch Arm Strong, Thursday

Last year's was pretty fun, but I'm always down with Dropkick Murphy's.

This year should be fun as well. I usually plant our group between the two main stages, and then we wander off in groups to check out the smaller stages. It makes life a little bit easier, since we don't lose everyone.

Buzzcocks, Senses Fail, Rise Against, Helmet, From Autumn To Ashes, Underoath

Most of the rest I either don't know, or don't really care too much about.

So has anyone caught the show? The Raleigh show was yesterday and aside from it raining almost the entire time, I thought it kicked ass. Got to see plenty of bands. Most of mine rotated between the 2 main stages and the hurley stage, so I didn't have to walk back and forth that far. Standouts for me were: AFI, Thursday, Down to Earth Approach, Rise Against, Paramore, Underoath. Wasn't as many people here compared to the show in Charlotte '04, but it was still fun.
