Need some Reggae reccomendations...

So I enjoy Bob Marley, Israel Vibration, Peter Tosh (lil bit), Barrington Levy, Toots, Steel Pulse, UB40, Matisyahu (big fan) and the Sublime/Long Beach Dub reggae.

Any other groups I should be checking out? I love that dub and the somewhat commercialized Bob & The Wailers stuff. Pretty much any reggae that doesn't sound like it came from a tape recorder :)

Thanks.

It doesn't sound like it came from a tape recorder, but the songs are older... think Motown reggae: Trojan U.K. Hits
Incredible, cheap collection from Trojan.

There might be a past thread on this subject.

Gregory Isaacs
Jimmy Cliff's The Harder They Come is a classic (I'd recommend the deluxe edition because it comes with an EXCELLENT second disc of old school reggae songs - maybe of interest to you that two of the songs were later covered by Sublime)

i started a thread on them because they just released a new album, but you really should check out The Slackers. start with their album "Redlight" and go forward from there.

The post that DJLinus linked pretty much covers everything.

Scratch Perry. Only question is where to start, this man's catalogue is about the same size as Duke Ellington's.
