The Sounds/ Morningwood / Action Action to tour the US.

I think this will be a great show- these bands are so similar, but at the same time so different. the only other band i would dream of joining is Surferosa (who opened for the Killers in 2004).

anyone going to the cleveland show?

I may check out that show. I shot pix of the Sounds show a year or two ago at the Agora Ballroom. I was supposed to do a thread with pix and still haven't gotten it done. For shame.

Of course, no Nashville show. Music City my ass.

I like The Sounds. I'm looking forward to their new CD coming out March 21st.

The Sounds new record is pretty good. I think I still prefer the original, but Dying has a lot of really great tracks. Surprisingly, the lead single is my least favorite on the record. The title of the record comes from a song called Ego "I've been dying to say this to you, and I don't know what else to do. I've seen your fucking attitude, yeah." There is a lot of sneer in it that makes me smile. W.

According to some people I know who manage some smaller venues in Vegas, they will hit Vegas on 4/30 (this is also evident on Morningwood's MySpace page).

However, this sucks as I will be either in two places on 4/30:
1. Coachella.
2. New York City.

Great fucking timing Morningwood. Great goddamn fucking timing.

I haven't gotten tickets yet, but I plan on it. We saw them twice on their last tour and they were top-notch both times.

I didn't care too much for the new album after the first listen, but I will give it a few more spins.

I just heard Morningwood, and liked what I heard. I'll probably grab a couple albums. If I like them enough, I might hit them up. It'll depend on what else I've got going on.

the sounds put on an amazing show. maja is even hotter in person. they basically played every song from 'living in america' & 'dying to say this to you' morningwood was boring, to me at least. everyone got a hardon as the singer called up some porn star from backstage to striptease and plant her tits in the singers face.

Glad to here MN is still around. You do mean LaClede's Landing right?

Saw Camper Van Beethoven w/Syd Straw opening there awhile back. One of my first dates with the future Mrs. Pusser.

Yes. Its future has been in constant doubt over the last few years, particularly right now w/ the Pinnacle casino being built across the street, but it still keeps chuggin' along. It will be a sad day when they shut the doors on the place for good.

that's because they're a gimmick band. you know they're horrible when they have to resort to this nonsense to get people to come to their shows.
