Double Door - Chicago
 

Ever been there? Just wondering. I was thinking about going to see Bob Schneider there on March 31st and wanted opinions on what this may be like. I've never been to a concert at a club or what not before. Mostly I have been to theaters and I guess a bar for local groups but never anything like what I imagine the double door to be.

I wish my first time was a club with as much history as DD. Smashing Pumpkins and countless Chicago bands have started off at this great venue. You are in for a treat!

i went to see back to back Twilight Singers shows at the Double Door. yes, the history was there, but really nothing too special or anything. typical bar/club. bottles smashing into the garbage can during the shows. they did have waitresses walking thru the club during the show too, which i never really seen before.

The place has history to spare, for sure, but its mostly a bar with a very large space on the right side (for people to stand) and a stage. I saw my first club show there and I wasn't dissapointed.
