For what it's worth, the DVD-A plays flawlessly in my Pioneer 45a.

There's some discussion about it over at the QuadraphonicQuad forums: http://www.quadraphonicquad.com/foru...ead.php?t=6152

I personally think this album is amazing, my favorite Lips album. I'm a fan of good music and am glad some good music has come out of Oklahoma, speaking as a resident. I live about 2 miles from Wayne and am thinking about going by there when he gets back and having him sign the new album. I can still see the sets and stuff that he built in his back yard for Christmas on Mars! I'm not trying to brag I just think it's fucking cool that when I go to Best Buy or where ever I can drive right by Wayne's home!

Another funny thing is that I work in a skating rink and Wayne's nephew, who was in the Waitin' for a Superman music video used to come up there and skate.

I like the Album

I own all the lips albums and many of their singles.

THE SOFT BULLETIN is my favorite lips album, followed closely by CLOUDS TASTE METALLIC.

I just picked up AT WAR WITH THE MYSTICS yesterday and have listened to it three times already (I'm sure it will be spinning in my car and at home all summer long). It combines the more recent poppy/electriconic Lips of TSB & YOSHIMI with the rockier lips of CTM and earlier work.

It doesn't reach the heights of TSB -which is one of the most perfect pop albums of the last 10 years - but is still 99% better than most of the music out their today.

Lips are playing a free concert (w/ Big Star, De La Soul and others) on Sunday, May 31 at Centennial Park in Atlanta. I think it's a 21+ show because it's sponsored by Southern Comfort. I'll be there for sure... more for Big Star, but love both bands.
