Why thank you for that, how astute of you , where is it exactly that I mention that they were a blues-rock band?

The OP asked for bands similar to White Stripes, which IMO are not a blues-rock band, but have a clear blues influence. KOL are mainstream, like the White Stripes, & also have a similar influence to their music, thus my recommendation.

And you do know that they also play instruments right? Singing is not what dictates the "blues" undertones of the band. They have numerous songs played directly out of a standard 3-Chord Blues progession, not all their songs are what are being played on the radio & MTV. Also, they are working on their next album, which they state as going back to their "blues-roots" to make a "blues heavy" album.

These folks may be a little more country influence than blues influence but as a White Stripes fan they appealed to me as well. Husband and wife pairing, good lyrics, and kind of pared down music.

What? That makes no sense. Wu-Tang Clan is nothing like the White Stripes. Pussycat Dolls are nothing like the White Stripes. Kings of Leon are a rock band with blues influence to their music, White Stripes are a rock band with Blues influence to their music. It is not a stretch saying they are in the same vain. I'm not claiming they sound identical, but saying they "aren't anything like" White Stripes is just dumb. And 90% of the bands posted in this thread are not "blues-rock", & the OP considers White Stripes "blues-rock" which they definitely are not, so it's not that far out to recommend KOL.

Agreed, but I think the OP meant "blues rock along the White Stripes & Black Keys" to mean "very dirty & raw" which is why I highly recommend Doo Rag & Bog Log. Might be a little too weird for the humanoids, but seen them many times. Good stuff.

I can't believe some of you guys are recommending dinosaur rock. I think when anyone asks for recommendations on music nowadays we know not to recommend the same Zeppelin songs we've all heard on the radio since the beginning of time.
