Well, at least I put up something of a fight against Aphex Twin. And I got Numanoid's vote, which is cool.
1. cdollaz. Radiohead and the Clash take it for me. I have that Kings of Leon album and I think it's pretty average.
2. illennium. That would be me. I love Aphex's middle picks, but I've gotta say--the Beatles get too much love around here. I recognize their contribution to pop music, but honestly, I don't know if I'll ever put on another one of their records voluntarily. To me, they've become more of a cultural icon than a band, and their music, while still enjoyable as pop 40 years later, isn't really challenging anymore in the way that the music of some of their contemporaries still is. I particularly recommend The Flamin' Groovies, a criminally underheard pop band from the 60's on whose experimentation with psychedelia dug much deeper than that of the Beatles.
3. DJLinus. Again, not really a fan of James, but the other picks make up for it.
4. maxfisher. Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, Eels, and Magnetic Fields clinch it, although I think that Doves record is nothing special. I have a hard time getting through the whole thing.

I cannot believe maxfisher came back from 9 down at one point to beat me. Quite the amazing comeback.
Outsiders voted 11 to 6 for BDB, 14 to 3 for Aphex, 12 to 5 for jimdrix and 9 to 8 for Mordred.
Aphex Twin continues to have a LOT of variation as to who votes for him from round to round. cdollaz had some variation, DJLinus and myself had very little.

Also, in counting up the votes, I noticed that whaaat voted twice. I'm guessing he meant to delete his first post, as one of his votes changed. It didn't affect any of the outcomes this round, but we might want to be careful in watching for mistakes in the next two.
