We'll see. I didn't like his first solo album but I love early Verve.

Excited to hear, but as you, I am cautious as well. 'Alone With Everybody' I thought was pretty solid although just a continuation of Verve lite balladry and layered instrumentation, but the second? Ack...Overwrought, cliche romanticism of 'I have God and Love and that's all I need' with the same type of now dull wall of sound production.

Verve will always be one of my favorite bands.

I'll keep buying new albums whenever he puts them out, but when it comes down to it, I'm usually pulling Verve albums off the shelf for listening.

Hopefully he'll tour the states with this album. I've never seen him perform solo.
